How to Host NYE Wedding on a Budget

How romantic to count down to midnight as newlyweds and kick off a brand new year together as Mr. and Mrs. If you’ve set the date for New Year’s Eve and wondering how to host a NYE wedding on a budget, we are sharing our favorite winter wedding tips and tricks. Read this week’s blog post to ensure that your New Year’s Eve wedding is everything you dreamed it would be and more.

With the help of Brides Magazine, we’ve listed a few of our favorite ways to plan a stress-free New Year’s Eve wedding:

Secure your vendors early - Remember that New Year’s Eve is a popular night out and many will be hosting parties/events in your area. Be sure to secure your vendors early. If you have your heart set on a particular band or photographer, there is a possibility they will already be booked on that night. It might be wise to come up with back up vendors when making your list so you aren’t scrambling last minute.

If your ceremony is taking place at a different location from your reception, it would be best to arrange transportation for your guests. Keep in mind that Uber will have a surcharge for the holiday. Your guests will appreciate not having to spend extra expenses for the day.

Before midnight strikes, make sure everyone is ready. Have the band or DJ make an announcement so everyone can be present on the dance floor before the countdown begins. Champagne should be passed out well before the countdown begins, too, so everyone (all those 21 and over) can toast to the New Year with you.
