Things to Do Around Thanksgiving in NJ: Sightsee at the Zoo
Holiday Lights at the Turtle Back Zoo
The Turtle Back Zoo will host its Holiday Lights Spectacular once again, with magical, sparkling displays featuring over 50 winter characters and creatures.
Wander through the zoo and see it as you never have before – lit up and festively arrayed for the holiday season.
The Holiday Lights Spectacular began its winter show on November 18, and will run through January 2. It will be open Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights until December 11, and every night starting December 12. Zoo hours for the event are 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Admission is free to see the Holiday Lights and take part in activities.
Themed Weekends and Donations
Come back each weekend for a different themed event. Past weekends have included such fun as indoor animal exhibits, face painting, s’mores stations, and character meet and greets.
As you look for things to do around Thanksgiving in NJ, consider this event for the opportunity to give back, as the zoo will be accepting donations for gently used winter coats, toys, and non-perishable food items (such as canned goods and dry pasta).
Holiday events in NJ will keep your family busy and in the spirit of the season. Whether you’re roving near or far, everyone at The Wilshire Grand Hotel wishes you a happy Thanksgiving and safe travels.
