This year’s St. Patrick’s Day celebrations in NJ are set to be fun for the whole family. The 65th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade in West Orange takes place on March 13, 2016 and includes a host of events throughout the day. You can start off with morning mass at 9am, followed by the parade at 12:15. The route starts at the corners of Mt. Pleasant Avenue and Main Street and will run along Main Street. There will be grandstands on Main Street for spectators.
The Newark St. Patrick’s Day Parade will be taking place on March 11th on Mulberry Street and Central. Founded in 1936, this parade committee is made up of delegates from almost 100 Irish, Catholic, Fraternal and Public Safety Organizations.
Of course, there is always the classic - the New York City Parade, arguably the most popular in the city, will be held on March 17 and will march up Fifth Avenue, past the St. Patrick’s Cathedral and up to 79th Street.
