Did you know that the Newark Farmers Market, also known as the NDD Farmers Market, has grown to be the largest and most diverse outdoor market in Newark. Weather permitting, the event takes place every Thursday, June through October from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm, and offers visitors a wide array of fresh foods, handmade artisan jewelry, originally designed clothing, freshly squeezed juices, nuts, spices and more.

This year, the Newark Farmers Market at the PSE&G Plaza will begin on Thursday, June 1st, a wonderful way to kick off a new month here in New Jersey. Hopefully the weather will cooperate and bring plenty of sunshine to the day, making it a wonderful outdoor event to enjoy while visiting with us in NJ. The farmers market will continue through October 26th so there is plenty of time to enjoy the Newark event. Mark your calendar and visit the next time you have a free Thursday afternoon. It's a popular and beloved event in our area, offering plenty of food options to even the pickiest of eaters.

Over 1,000 residents, commuters, and students are expected to flood PSE&G Plaza each Thursday to enjoy savory cheesy empanadas, hot baked pies from the Amish country, pizza, farm fresh vegetables, bread bowls from the world famous Soup Man and plenty more! If you ever find yourself asking, "what's for lunch?" on a Thursday, consider stopping by the Newark Farmers Market for  hearty and healthy lunch option.

Built between 1902 and 1905, the castle spans 9000 square feet. There are thirty rooms to explore, as well as the beautiful grounds. The octagonal rose garden is a favorite of many visitors. This park is a wonderful testament to historical preservation.

Saturday, March 11, join the residents of Morris County for their St. Patrick’s Day Parade. Along with the march in celebration of Irish heritage, pre-parade events are planned, including the Grand Marshall Reception. This will include bagpipers, live music and dancing, beer and wine, and hors d’oeuvres on Friday, March 3rd.

Nutley St. Patrick’s Day Parade

For Nutley’s parade on Saturday, March 4, an Investiture Mass will start things off, and the parade will march out from the Holy Family Parking Lot at St. Mary’s Church. The parade will additionally honor the Firefighter of the Year and feature the 2017 Parade Queen, Morgan Sim.

West Orange St. Patrick’s Day Parade

The St. Patrick’s Day Parade in West Orange will kick off on Sunday, March 12. It will traverse Main Street and Eagle Rock Avenue, with grand stands along the route for optimal viewing.
