Wedding Planning for Spring Brides: A Few Tips & Helpful Hints

Consider these helpful tips & tricks when wedding planning for spring brides.

  Wedding Planning for Spring Brides

A Spring Bride! There is something special about getting married when the earth has just woken up from its long winter slumber. Wedding planning for spring brides can be fun, but there are certainly some things to consider to ensure your event goes smoothly. Check out our tips and helpful hints to plan for whatever the day may bring!

New Jersey Brides should always consider the weather.

April showers bring May flowers! Spring weather can often be unpredictable, but you don't have to let any potential sprinkle ruin your big day. Find some cute umbrellas so you can still take advantage of great backdrops for outdoor photos come rain or shine. Be sure to include keeping your guests in the loop when it comes to the forecast so they can come prepared. Of course, a great wedding and reception site that includes options for indoor/outdoor alternate arrangement can help ensure that no matter what the weather may bring, you and your guests will be comfortable.

You don't have to stick with traditional spring wedding choices.

There is no rule book declaring that every spring wedding must consist of pastel colors and surrounded by thousands of beautiful flowers. A wedding is supposed to be a celebration of a couple and include all of the things that make them unique. Instead of flowers, consider having the bridal party carry delicate bouquets of grasses instead of flowers, make moss creations for your centerpieces and showcase your style with a rich color scheme.

But if you do want traditional, fully embrace the season!

Seasonal food, seasonal flowers (tulips, crocus, bluebells, pussy willows and daffodils), even seasonal favors — this is the best time of year to do it all. Consider personalized packets of flower seeds, small bud vases for spring blooms or miniature bird’s nests to nestle candy in to make for a unique gift that your guests can enjoy long after the last slice of cake is gone.

Good luck and happy wedding planning! After you’ve set a spring date, you’ll want to begin searching for the perfect wedding venue. If you’re planning to celebrate in NJ, we invite you to consider The Wilshire Grand Hotel, NJ. New Jersey wedding planners and engaged couples are invited to see how our venue can be the perfect place to host your dream springtime wedding.
