The Super Bowl in NJ may be over but residents and visitors can still view the original Vince Lombardi Trophy at this incredible winter exhibit at the Newark Museum!
Did you know that the Vince Lombardi Trophy was first handcrafted in Newark in 1967 at Tiffany & Co.’s silver factory? In honor of Super Bowl XLVIII, which was played in MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ, the Newark Museum is displaying the original Vince Lombardi Trophy, now though March 30, 2014.
The original Vince Lombardi Trophy is no doubt one of the most recognizable of the objects produced by Tiffany & Co. Visit the Newark Museum this winter to view the original trophy won by the Green Bay Packers along with more than 100 objects documenting the rise of the city’s gold and silver industry.
Learn about how the City of Newark was the center of the precious metal industry in our country and home to many famed jewelry goldsmiths and silversmiths. Visit the City of Silver and Gold from Tiffany to Cartier featuring the original Vince Lombardi Trophy during your next visit to NJ. We hope you enjoy this one-of-a-kind exhibit in Northern NJ.
