Continuing our Efforts to Go Green- We've Recently Switched to Emerald Brand!

At The Wilshire Grand Hotel, we made a promise to improve our environment by reducing our own carbon footprint. In 2013, we’re continuing our commitment to Go Green by introducing eco-friendly changes to our hotel in NJ whenever it’s possible.

The actions that we’ve taken in the past include light bulb changes to our catering center and hotel, water-saving toilets, recycled paper products, the installation of the “Energy Eye Energy Control System” in our guest rooms, plus much more.

We’re proud to mention that we have seen many improvements to our hotel in the past year. We have continued our efforts to provide environmentally friendly amenities in our hotel in West Orange, NJ by making a switch to Emerald Brand products.

Emerald Brand is a company that is fully committed to helping families and businesses live a greener life. The Emerald Brand Collection consists of 60-70% Free-Free Products made from a natural plant material called Bagasse. These products are healthy and safe for the environment, the surfaces and the people within our hotel.

Since making the switch to go green, our hotel in New Jersey has saved nearly 12 trees, 1,405 pounds of virgin fiber and 620 pounds of landfill waste in the past 3 months! We’re fully embracing these exciting changes and look forward to seeing an even bigger impact as we continue with the brand. What are the steps you’ve taken to reduce your own carbon footprint? Small changes can make a big difference!

Until next week,
The Wilshire Grand Hotel
